Saskatoon Police Commission Agenda Items for the Thursday, February 20, 2020 Meeting

The following topics are on the agenda for the Thursday, February 20, 2020 @ 3:00 p.m. (please note the change of time for meetings in 2020 to begin at 3:00 pm.) Meeting of the Saskatoon Board of Police Commissioners in Committee Room E at Saskatoon City Hall.

  • A report on the Glasgow Model of Community safety, with its focus on a strategic, inter-agency approach to decreasing violent crime,

  • The appointment of an Executive Director contractor to the Board of Police Commissioners,

  • A recommendation that Out-of-Scope Police Service staff receive pay increases, pension plan changes and benefit changes that mirror those already in place for Exempt Staff of the City of Saskatoon,

  • A report on the implementation of the Saskatoon Police Service policy dealing with Contact Interviews,

  • A report on pedestrian underpasses in response to concerns brought to the Board of Police Commissioners by the Mount Royal Community Association.

Saskatoon Police Commission spokespersons, Chair Darlene Brander or Vice-Chair Carolanne Inglis-McQuay, will be available immediately after the conclusion of the Public Agenda to respond to questions from the media. As well, the two Police Commission spokespersons will make their best efforts to be available to address any media questions on the morning following the Commission Meeting.
