Saskatoon Police Commission Agenda Items for the Thursday, December 12, 2019 Meeting
The following topics are on the agenda for the Thursday, December 12, 2019 @ 4:00 p.m. Meeting of the Saskatoon Board of Police Commissioners in Committee Room E at Saskatoon City Hall.
• Presentation from the Safe Community Action Alliance,
• Presentation from the Community Safety & Well-being Partners Group,
• Notification from the Saskatoon Police Association that it wishes to enter into negotiations on a Collective Bargaining Agreement,
• Response from the Saskatchewan Minister of Corrections and Policing to the request by the Saskatoon Board of Police Commissioners for financial support for policing requirements to accompany the operation of the planned supervised consumption site,
• First-year Status Report from the Saskatoon Police Service on the impact of cannabis legalization, and
• Status Report on the Operations Review that was undertaken with the Saskatoon Police Service.
Saskatoon Police Commission spokespersons, Chair Darlene Brander or Vice-Chair Carolanne Inglis-McQuay, will be available immediately after the conclusion of the Public Agenda to respond to questions from the media. As well, the two Police Commission spokespersons will make their best efforts to be available to address any media questions on the morning following the Commission Meeting.
