Deputy Chiefs Appointed to Serve Alongside Chief Cameron McBride
Together with the Saskatoon Police Service (SPS), the Saskatoon Board of Police Commissioners is pleased to announce the new Deputy Chief appointments.
Promoted to Deputy Chief are Dave Haye and Darren Pringle. Both are long-serving members of the Saskatoon Police Service. Deputy Chief Haye most recently served as Interim Chief until the appointment of Cameron McBride and has signed a one-year contract. Deputy Chief Pringle was promoted from the rank of Superintendent and his contract matches that of Chief McBride, a five- year term.
While the Chief of Police recommends appointments to the Deputy Chief positions, the contracts are with the Board of Police Commissioners.
“The Board was unanimous in supporting Chief McBride’s recommendations for the Deputy Chief positions,” said Shirley Greyeyes, Chair of the Saskatoon Board of Police Commissioners. “Both Dave Haye and Darren Pringle have proven to be excellent in their roles and we are confident they will provide excellent support to Chief McBride and will be wonderful role models to those who serve under them.”
“I am incredibly pleased to have both Dave Haye and Darren Pringle join me in leadership of the SPS,” said Chief McBride. “Deputy Chief Haye has decades of management experience with our service, the last being Interim Police Chief.
